A rare and amazing 19th century antique French provincial dough bin or petrin found recently in France. This is a fine example of a petrin and the large dovetailed joints on each corner are superb. This piece also has a small drawer. The dough was kneaded on the top of the petrin and then put inside to rise. Some old borer holes which are of no concern as all our items are treated by Government regulations upon arrival into Australia.
