Found near Paris this magnificent, extremely elegant and rare 18th century antique French solid walnut deux corps buffet sideboard is a sight to behold. Featuring a beautifully shaped domed top, carved top shell motif, top opening doors with no centre pillar (which would also be ideal to house a television out of sight), carved bottom urn motif, shaped and carved front and side skirts with two original keys which lock top and bottom cupboards. The very old and warm walnut timber patina cannot be captured well enough in photos unfortunately. It is amazing to see. The top has two removable fixed height shelves and the bottom has one removable fixed height shelf. The centre drawer has a lock but no key. As with most genuine French antique furniture there is evidence of (old and long gone) borer holes predominantly in the back which is of no consequence as all our antiques are treated by Government regulations upon arrival from France. The drawer supports and bottom half back panel have been replaced at some stage which is mentioned for accuracy. This piece is priced well below its true value.
