SOLD Antique French Oak Slope Top Desk Stretcher Base - B057

This charming little antique (19th century) oak desk has recently arrived from France. It has a lift up lid with four drawers and storage area. Two of the drawers have Afrikaans pencil writing on them - Veeverzekering (meaning livestock insurance) and Melkery (meaning dairy). Obviously this came from a country dairy. There is a lock but no key. The black leather top is in quite good shape with a few bubbles. This would be perfect for a laptop user.

SIZE approx: 82.5cm wide x 53cm deep x 81.5cm high at front x 90.5cm high at back. Chair space between legs 72.5cm wide and 62cm knee height. Interior 79.5cm wide x 35cm deep and slopes at back at 16.5cm high to front at 7.5cm high. Drawers 17.5cm wide x 10.5cm deep x 8cm high each.
