A Rare Antique French Genuine Provincial Oak Armoire – Late 18th century - Early 19th Century – G019

Now available at our Seaford warehouse.

A handsome and timeless Antique French Provincial oak armoire,
handcrafted in the late 18th century to early 19th century and full of rustic charm.

Made from solid oak, this piece features clean architectural lines
and a sturdy, functional design typical of provincial craftsmanship.

The two twin panelled doors are framed with stepped mouldings,
lending quiet detail and depth to the otherwise restrained façade.
A modest crown cornice adds visual structure, while the oak’s
warm honey-toned patina highlights the natural grain,
mellowed beautifully with age.

Due to the age of this rare piece there is age wear as shown

in the photos but this does not detract and is mentioned for accuracy

Original iron hardware, including shaped key escutcheons
and traditional pin-style hinges, remain intact and complete
the armoire’s authentic provincial character.

Inside, the spacious interior offers great flexibility and could
easily be used as a wardrobe, linen press, pantry, or bar
in a modern rustic or country-style interior.

The shelves and centre divider could be removed if desired, but it

would then need a different door Catch to hold the door shut

Crafted with traditional joinery, this is a substantial,
well-built piece both decorative and practical. Perfect
