A Vintage French Louis XV Style Oak Sideboard Buffet – Circa 1930 – G026

A beautifully crafted Vintage French oak sideboard buffet in the Louis XV style,
dating to around 1930, and showcasing deeply carved decoration,
graceful proportions, and practical storage on a grand scale.

This impressive piece features a central bank of five drawers, flanked by
four carved cupboard doors, each panelled with ornate fruit basket carvings,
scrollwork, and finely shaped mouldings.
The overall form is serpentine and classically French, finished with a shaped skirt
and elegant Louis legs with carved knees and scroll feet.

Above the cabinet sits an original carved pediment,
featuring a central foliate and shell motif in relief, adding vertical presence
and soft drama to the silhouette.
The solid oak timber has aged beautifully, presenting a warm golden-brown patina
with natural grain movement and tonal richness.

All original brass escutcheons and handles remain in place,
and the drawers open and close smoothly.
This sideboard offers exceptional storage capacity,
making it ideal for use in large dining rooms, wide hallways,
or high-end retail settings seeking architectural character.
