A superb George III mahogany chest on chest, a classic example of fine English 18th century furniture. the base with three long graduated drawers below an arrangement of two short and three long drawers with brass handles on bracket feet. Note the carved cornice and fluted side pilasters. A handsome piece with plenty of storage space. There is missing trim on second bottom drawer and top crenellated corners and top left side. There are the usual wear scuffs and marks consistent with a piece this age and some damage to the top right front and right back. The drawers have locks but there are no keys. The top chest removes for transportation. Please use the photographs as part of the description. We have priced this piece well to allow for repairs if thought needed.
