An extremely attractive 19th century bookcase or display cabinet in walnut, having a moulded edge above a pair of original wavy glazed doors with burr walnut fielded panels to the base, a drawer underneath, fitted with original working locks and keys (doors and drawer) and enclosing four height adjustable shelves, all flanked by reeded columns with carved capitols and standing on original bun feet. This antique bookcase retains its original finish, soft colour and patina, circa 1880. The lower back and the bun feet have some borer damage which is of no concern as this is a solid piece and all our pieces are treated by Government regulations upon arrival from France. Some minor walnut losses on the sides at the bottom. Please note: We have photographed mostly without its gallery spindled top as it is our preference but we have taken two photos with it (as that is just our opinion and maybe not a general opinion). It does look amazing either way.
