An Antique French Louis XV Display Cabinet – Mid 20th Century – G014

A fine Antique French Louis XV-style display cabinet,
crafted in fruitwood in the mid 20th century (circa 1930–1950),
featuring elegant Rococo lines and richly carved detail
typical of provincial interpretations of the Louis XV style.

The upper display section includes two shaped glass doors,
with softly arched glazing bars that mirror the cabinet's
undulating lines and are framed by floral carvings on each upright.
The arched cornice is particularly striking,
with a boldly scrolled crest flanked by moulded swan-neck curves.

The lower section is fitted with two deeply carved panelled doors,
each with fine shell and foliate motifs set within
asymmetrical rocaille cartouches, continuing the Louis XV influence.
The cabinet sits on short carved Louis legs with a scalloped apron.

Original brass hardware remains intact, including
decorative escutcheons and working hinges.
The warm medium oak finish shows subtle grain movement
and retains a gentle satin patina developed with age.

Perfect for showcasing curated collections, glassware, or books,
this display cabinet offers both elegance and storage,
suited to traditional, French country, or antique-rich interiors.

The locking key is included.
