An Antique French Louis XV Style Oak Buffet – Circa Early 1900 – G005

An elegant and shapely antique French Louis XV style oak buffet,
crafted around early 1900 and showcasing beautiful serpentine curves,
hand-carved detailing and a rich and deep golden oak finish.

This piece features a shaped and stepped top above a finely moulded body,
with a rare and gracefully bowed centre bank of five drawers —
each carved with floral motifs and fitted with original hardware.
Flanking either side are full-length cupboard doors with raised panels
and hand-carved scroll and shell accents, echoing the decorative flow
across the drawers and apron.

The sinuous silhouette continues through the serpentine front and
scalloped skirt, which is adorned with a large central carved shell motif
and delicate floral tendrils. Dainty cabriole legs and scroll feet complete
the Louis XV styling, making this buffet both a functional storage solution
and a striking decorative statement.

This is a solid and weighty piece, constructed in oak with a warm grain
and glowing patina, and remains in excellent antique condition with only
minor age-related wear with some marks on top as shown. It would suit traditional, country, and
French Provincial-inspired interiors beautifully.
