An elegant antique French bed crafted in the Louis XV style, dating to around 1900. This finely shaped and carved bed is constructed from solid French walnut and features beautiful Rococo lines and deeply carved shell and scroll motifs. It is a French Double size.

The shaped headboard is crowned with an elaborate shell crest flanked by scrolling foliage, while the footboard is equally ornate, showcasing deeply carved central decoration and serpentine curves. The side rails are also shaped and decorated with carved ribbons and mouldings, completing the cohesive design.

The timber has developed a warm, rich patina with time, highlighting the walnut’s natural grain and adding to its refined character. This bed is both visually striking and structurally sound, ready to be the centrepiece of a French-inspired bedroom.
