An antique French mahogany Louis XV style secrétaire desk - FR064

This superb antique French mahogany secrétaire was found in Paris. It features a fixed marble top, a drop-down desk area with one large and two small drawers and a storage space all lined with wonderful amboyna. The writing area has hand tooled leather. The exterior has one top and three bottom lockable drawers allowing for storage.  The fluted sides feature beautiful carvings with carved roses etc. and amazing carved Louis style front feet and bottom skirt.  The drop down desk does not lock and the previous owner has modified it with decorative chains and magnetic catches. The marble top has a small crack in the left front corner which is not really noticeable due to the height of the secrétaire.  One of the small interior drawers has a replacement drawer pull, there are two key escutcheons missing (easily replaced) on the exterior drawer and there is a small piece of trim missing at the very bottom carved area, which is barely noticeable but mentioned for accuracy.  There are many photos to use for reference.  We do try to mention as much as possible and have priced this piece well.
