A very beautiful antique French marble topped walnut commode or chest of drawers with wonderful brass pulls and escutcheons. The carvings are exceptionally lovely. There are two locking keys, one key for the top drawer the other key works the other three drawers. This is in lovely condition with just some minor long gone borer holes on the bottom of the left front foot plus a few here and there which can be seen in the photos and which is only mentioned for accuracy reasons (as all our pieces are treated by government regulations upon arrival from France). There some marks or stains on the front of the drawers which could be from original polish but this does not detract. (We do try to mention all we can see as much as possible for accuracy). The marble top is beautiful and in good condition with no cracks (veins in the marble - no cracks). This is a rare and very elegant piece.
