This beautiful antique French oak enfilade sideboard is a classic example of Louis XV-inspired craftsmanship, featuring elegant shaped doors, traditional brass hardware and a wonderfully rich oak patina developed over many decades. The warm chocolate-brown timber displays attractive natural grain patterns throughout, giving the piece exceptional character and presence.
With four generously sized cupboards and four drawers above, this substantial sideboard offers excellent storage while maintaining refined proportions and timeless French elegance. The shaped apron, carved detailing and graceful cabriole-inspired feet further enhance its sophisticated appearance.
It does appear that the previous owner may have made some minor repairs to the top using wood filler to fill some cracks and there is an uneven shine, a few minor marks and darker patches in some places. As this is a rustic piece we do not feel it really detracts. We have priced accordingly.
