An Antique French Oak Louis XV Style Sideboard – Early 20th Century – G028

A finely detailed antique French Louis XV style oak sideboard, this beautifully shaped piece dates to the early 20th century and offers both practical storage and timeless French elegance. Crafted from solid oak, it features a soft golden patina that has developed naturally over time, enriching its character and warmth. There is some sun fading and wear on the top on the left hand side as shown in the photographs and some wear on the top left door which is reflected in our much lower pricing on this piece. This may not be of concern. Minor usage marks on legs and minor scratches on the top on the right hand side. A slight bow on the top right hand corner is mentioned for accuracy reasons.

The sideboard showcases four carved panel doors, each with its locking key, with rococo-style floral and scrollwork motifs, complemented by shaped mouldings and original iron hardware. A central arrangement of four drawers provides additional storage, flanked by two spacious cupboard compartments. The shaped apron and elegant cabriole legs further enhance its classic Louis XV silhouette.

Functional yet decorative, this sideboard makes a statement in dining rooms, living spaces, or large hallways, offering generous storage while bringing authentic French charm to any setting.
