Antique French Walnut Armoire with Bevelled Mirrors Discovered near Paris, this elegant antique French armoire (circa 1890 - 1910) is crafted from richly toned walnut. This piece beautifully combines timeless French character with practical storage. The graceful shaped crown, flowing curves and finely detailed feet give the piece a refined Louis XV influence, while the original bevelled mirror doors add depth, light and sophistication to any interior. The warm walnut grain displays beautiful natural movement and patina developed over many decades. Inside, the armoire offers generous storage and would work beautifully as a wardrobe, linen press or statement storage piece within both traditional and contemporary homes. There is a hanging rail plus three fixed height shelves, with an extra shelf above the two drawers, one of which has a chip as seen in the photos. Some or all of the shelves could be removed if only hanging space was desired. As shown there are some age splits in the side panels which do not affect the structural integrity in any way. This armoire is very heavy and solid. Previous owner used adhesive on the right door mirror to hold in place and when they replaced the trim it did not line up totally the at bottom as can be seen in photos. This is not overly noticeable unless inspecting close-up but is mentioned for accuracy reasons. There are a few usage marks here and there as would be expected with a piece of this age.
