This is a very old lady probably mid 1800s, and has had modifications over the years. There is evidence that the three big drawers had drawer pulls added at one point and some sort of decorative metal trim, which were all previously removed and screw holes filled. There is an age separation down the right side panel as can be seen in the photos, old and borer holes (which are of no consequence as all our pieces are treated by government regulation upon arrival from France), and chips and wear on the black marble top. Three generic keys have been added to be used as draw pulls as this style traditionally did not have handles, the locks do not work and the brass escutcheons do not appear to be original but suit this well. There is also warping in the front panels above and below each drawer which can be seen in the photos, but this is cosmetic and not structural. We have priced this to sell as we are not restorers. In good condition this would be a valuable piece. This still looks great and is an impressive and usable piece.
