Antique French Louis XV Style Marble Topped Marquetry Cabinet An elegant antique French cabinet with its original bevelled and shaped marble top, the marble having no faults. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, beautifully crafted in the Louis XV Revival style. Featuring intricate floral marquetry inlay, striking chevron parquetry veneers, decorative bronze mounts and an original marble top, this refined piece captures the warmth and sophistication of classic French interiors. There is some age related edge lifting of the veneer at the top of the doors and the strip above the the doors. The same on the sides which are difficult to see except in certain light at certain angles and very difficult capture to in photographs. This is common with inlaid antique pieces. There are a few minor chips on the right hand side towards the bottom and back but overall this is in lovely condition. Rich walnut and fruitwood tones combine with graceful proportions to create a timeless statement piece ideal for living rooms, hallways or elegant bedroom styling.
