This elegant antique French Louis XVI style display cabinet or bookcase dates to the late 19th century and embodies classical refinement and decorative beauty. Crafted in solid walnut, the piece features a shaped and moulded pediment crowned with a pierced central finial — a hallmark of Louis XVI influence.

The double and beautifully beveled glass-paned doors (locking with key) open to reveal internal shelves, ideal for displaying fine porcelain, books, or collectibles. Below, the cabinet is anchored by two beautifully panelled lower doors, each adorned with deeply carved neoclassical motifs, including floral garlands and central medallions.  There are internal drawers with keys used as pulls - do not lock).

The warm walnut tone and finely executed carvings combine to give this piece a commanding presence. Its glazed doors, original brass hardware, and tall proportions make it a striking focal point, suitable for refined living rooms, dining rooms, or libraries seeking both storage and French charm.  There are minor usage marks and a few light timber colour changes but overall this is in lovely condition.

This piece dismantles for transport in the French manner.
