A timeless and functional antique French marble-top chest of drawers,
dating to the late 19th century (circa 1880),
crafted with traditional French styling.

The chest features four spacious drawers,
each with original decorative brass handles and key escutcheons.
The top drawer is slightly shallower, with three graduated drawers below,
offering a generous amount of practical storage for linens, clothing, or tableware.

Its beautifully grained timber exhibits a warm, honeyed tone,
with subtle variations in the timber lending natural depth and charm.
Topped with a thick slab of white-grey marble
with soft veining and a bullnose edge,
the surface provides a luxurious contrast to the timber base
and is ideal for use in bedrooms, hallways, or dining settings.

The body rests on shaped feet,
and the overall construction remains sturdy and refined,
with signs of light surface wear and characterful ageing consistent with use and time.
