A beautifully proportioned antique French Provincial buffet,
handcrafted and dating to circa 1880.
This elegant piece reflects the timeless charm of rural French design,
combining decorative carving, practical storage, and soft curves
typical of the Provincial aesthetic.

The two lower doors feature shaped panels with subtle carved fan motifs,
framed by fluted stiles and soft serpentine mouldings.
Above, two drawers with shaped fronts retain their original hardware.

The shaped apron is adorned with a carved floral medallion,
extending into dainty Louis legs with scroll toes —
a classic silhouette found in regional Louis XV-style furniture.
The timber has been lightly and naturally bleached, revealing warm tones
and beautiful grain movement while preserving its antique character.

This piece remains in lovely condition,
with only minor marks and wear consistent with its age.
It is solid, practical and imbued with the rustic elegance
sought after in authentic French country furniture.
