This striking antique French oak buffet is a superb example of Renaissance Revival design from the late 19th century. Richly carved and powerfully proportioned, it combines sculptural ornamentation with architectural symmetry, making it a commanding presence in any interior.

The buffet features a pair of deeply carved cupboard doors, each framed with classical motifs and centred by a bold diamond lozenge panel surrounded by volutes, scrolls, and acanthus-inspired flourishes. The drawers above are equally detailed, adorned with carved patterns and flanked by carved masks and classical column capitals.

Supported by turned and fluted side columns and resting on a deeply moulded plinth base, the piece is crafted from solid oak with a dark, mature patina. A robust and refined storage piece, it would suit a grand dining room, study, or hallway requiring both utility and gravitas.
