A classic example of French provincial craftsmanship,
this solid oak Louis XV style buffet dates to the mid 19th century
(circa 1850–1870) and presents a graceful combination of
carved detail, soft curves, and elegant proportions.

The two panelled doors feature finely shaped serpentine mouldings
and are decorated with subtle carved scrollwork.
Above, two drawers are set into a thick oak top,
each with its original brass handle intact.
A central carved stile and scalloped apron enhance the visual symmetry
and lend the piece a refined French character.

The buffet stands on classic Louis legs
with carved shell knees and scroll feet,
all softened by a rich golden oak patina that has developed over time.
The timber displays natural grain patterns,
highlighting the quality of the oak used.

In excellent antique condition,
this buffet shows only minor age marks,
consistent with its 19th-century origin and long use.
It offers practical storage and timeless appeal,
ideal for a wide variety of traditional or transitional interiors.
