• Spine & Binding: Very good condition. The spine leather remains entirely strong, firmly attached, and intact. The 24k gold leafing on the spine is brilliant and crisp.

• Covers: Fair condition. The red textured cloth faces of the boards are structurally sound but exhibit prominent, darker liquid/water staining across the upper surfaces.

  • Interior: Very good antiquarian condition. The 1870 title page and text block are tightly bound, crisp, and fully readable, displaying a very light, natural age-related patina and minor foxing. Please use the photos as part of the condition report. We are not antiquarian book experts - our antique and vintage books were acquired in France from estate sales. Please feel free to explore your own research and ask questions if desired.
