A rare antique French late 19th century tall back throne chair with the prettiest shaped back, studded brass upholstery in good condition, acanthus leaf carvings on the arms, front carved decoration and a H-stretcher which provides stability. This chair is comfortable and sturdy. The walnut has a nice dark stain and a rich patina. There is an age crack on one arm with some under arm chips and one leg as shown, which are of no consequence and do not affect this piece in any way.
