An extremely rare framed vintage oil painting dated 1954 by the important impressionistic artist M Konstantinovich Poplavsky (born 1914 - died 1994) and entitled “Young Farmer.” (We are not art dealers so our art knowledge is limited).
SIZE approx: 39 x 29cm
About the artist: Soviet painter.
Mikhail Konstantinovich Poplavsky was born on May 26, 1914 in the village of Klyuchevskaya in the Krasnodar Territory of Russia.
Member of the Great Patriotic War. Marked with military awards.
In 1948 he graduated from the painting department of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin, where he studied under Yu. Neprintsev, B. Johnson, V. Belkin, I. Stepashkin, Yu. Cheptsov, M. Bernshtein, A. Zaitsev. Thesis: "The Young Guard".
Poplavsky M.K. - Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Participant of art exhibitions: republican - since 1949, all-union - since 1952, foreign since 1953.
